
Kirtans
We propose every week several chant circles, called kirtans in Sanskrit.
The practice of sacred chants comes through an initiatic transmission that permits us to have access to the internal vibration of its spirit. One of the basic chants of the Vedic path is the Gayatri chant; which according to the instructions of our masters cannot be practised out loud collectively such as is done with those of the new age movement.

In our collective, all members have received first and second initiation to the transcendental sound, shabda brahman. It’s what makes our kirtans carriers of medicine of the opening of consciousness. As much the Vaishnava chants as the red path chants, which are all carriers of memories of past life or at least of the consciousness acquired then and up until now; with the goal of transmitting it.

We don’t consider the chants solely as an energy but above all as beings carrying an elevated consciousness. Our relation with the chants is thus personal. We are also conscious that we cannot chant whatever chant, whenever. There is a divine structure to respect in order to connect well to the chants and to really benefit from their medicine. One also cannot invent chants, taking a bit here and there from various chants, mixing the words, transforming the original mantras, as is also done in the new age trend. The risk of all that being impersonalism: a superior degree of illusion.

Our intention when we chant is first and foremost an offering.
